Perayaan Ulang Tahun Keuskupan Keningau Ke-27 ditunda

KENINGAU – Disebabkan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan yang masih berkuatkuasa, Uskup Cornelius Piong berkata perayaan Ulang Tahun Keuskupan Keningau Ke-27 (UTK-27) yang sepatutnya diadakan pada 1 Mei di Paroki St Anthony, Tenom akan ditunda ke suatu tarikh yang akan ditetapkan kemudian.

Sudah menjadi tradisi bagi keuskupan ini menyambut Perayaan UTK pada setiap tahun dengan Misa Kudus dan acara majlis untuk meraikan pembentukan Keuskupan Keningau dan pentahbisan Cornelius Piong sebagai uskupnya yang secara rasmi jatuh pada 6 Mei.

Walau demikian, Uskup Cornelius berkata Keuskupan Keningau masih akan mengadakan Misa UTK-27 dan menetapkan Minggu Paska ke-empat untuk tujuan ini. Misa Kudus online tersebut akan diadakan pada 3 Mei jam 8.00 pagi dalam saluran Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHf9MtxniUgvqIlmusw_LOQ.

Uskup menjemput umat keuskupan untuk melakukan intensi UTK27 di dalam doa Adorasi, Rosari, Kerahiman Ilahi dan lain-lain doa selain daripada Misa Kudus ini nanti.

“Walaupun kita tidak dapat berhimpun merayakan Ulang Tahun kita, namun kerana kesatuan dan kesetiaan, kita tetap secara individu, keluarga dan komuniti berdoa mengungkapkan syukur kepada Tuhan,” kata uskup. – Linda Edward
