Pastoral workers holds third joint pre-Christmas gathering
PENAMPANG – Almost a hundred pastoral workers held their third joint pre-Christmas gathering at the Catholic Archdiocesan Centre (CAC) here on 22 Dec 2016.
The pastoral workers comprised staff from CAC, Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish, Church of Mary Immaculate and St Paul Dontozidon, and from the two archbishops’ households. Joining them were Archbishop John Wong, Archbishop Emeritus John Lee, and the five assistant pastors – Fathers Wilfred Atin, Rhobby Mojolou, Joshua Liew, Maxmillianno Hontor and Mitchelly Kiun.
The annual event was organised by the CAC staff. The first started in 2014 when Abp Wong became the pastor of the cathedral.
In his brief address, Abp Wong exhorted those present to use the last two days of Advent to reflect on what they first look for at a nativity set.
Among the activities were carol singing, lunch, quiz, games, lucky draws and exchange of gifts with one’s Advent Child.
The pre-Christmas gathering is one of the two annual gatherings among the archdiocesan and parish staff. The other is the Easter gathering which is organised by the Sacred Heart Parish staff.
