Kelatuan faithful celebrates assistant pastor’s priestly anniversary
KELATUAN, Papar – The faithful of St Kenneth here celebrated their assistant pastor’s 12th priestly ordination anniversary after the inaugural Mass on 18 Dec 2016.
The honouree, Fr Thomas Madanan, came to Kelatuan after celebrating Mass at St Stephen Kayau.
The simple celebration was co-hosted by St Joseph Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and St Kenneth Pastoral Committee.
In his speech, Johnny Sitamin, chairman of St Joseph PPC, praised Father Thomas Madanan for his creativity, commitment and collaboration with Father Thomas Yip, the pastor, in serving the people.
In his turn, Fr Madanan said that having been in the parish for five months, he noticed there are vast potentials in the communities which are gifts of God.
He praised God for the closeness and teamwork of the parishioners. At the same time he is thankful for being able to work together with Fr Yip in the ministry. – William C Mindus, SOCCOM Papar-Limbahau
