The Religious life of the Brothers is first and foremost a call to live radically the Gospel in the community, in practicing the evangelical counsels. It is the life based on the words and examples of Jesus Christ.
The Tercentenary is an opportune time to make Montfort better known where we are established. Our aim should be to reach as many persons as possible.
The Montfort Brothers, had our origins nearly 300 years ago, when Louis Marie de Montfort gathered disciples around him and formed them into the “Community of the Holy Spirit” in 1715 A.D.
KOTA KINABALU – Sacred Heart Cathedral parish here marked the first anniversaries of its two assistant pastors here on 1 Mar 2015.

Archbishop John Wong presided at the Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral here. Joining him at the altar were Fr Wilfred Atin and Fr Rhobby Mojolou, and assisted by Deacon Abel Madisang.
SANDAKAN – About 60 parishioners witnessed the installation of the statue of Mary Mar 7 at the Rosary Corridor of St Mary’s Cathedral.
The life-size solid concrete statue of about half a ton in weight was carried from the Rosary Monument at the base of the Mount and installed on a site near a spring water source.
PENAMPANG – Catholic Sabah founder Father Florian Jud died at 86. Below is the obituary from Mill Hill London:
It is with sadness that we inform you of the death of Fr Florian Jud MHM, on February 22, 2015, in Governador Valadares, Brazil, at the age of 86.
We offer deep gratitude to God for the life of our fellow Mill Hill Missionary, whose missionary spirit over the years was described as ‘tremendous and contagious’; and who, in spite of being diagnosed recently with a terminal sickness, chose to die and be buried among the people he had lovingly served in Brazil for over 40 years.
BUNDU TUHAN – One hundred and eighteen Youth Ministers from all around the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu rallied together for a time of “CONSULTATION” at the Bundu Tuhan Retreat Centre on 6-8 Mar 2015. The Consultation hopes to involve youth leaders to discern a better approach in ministry towards current youth; to motivate them as Catholic Youth Ministers; and to rejuvenate the spirit of ministering in every youth minister.
Human weakness tends to need to see tangible signs and wonders in order to believe. However, Jesus said to Thomas, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (Jn 20:29).
