Over 200 CWL delegates gather for 31st General Assembly cum retreat

BUNDU TUHAN – Two hundred and twenty  Catholic Women’s League (CWL) delegates from all the parishes in the Kota Kinabalu Archdiocese  gathered at the Bundu Tuhan Retreat Centre for their 31st  annual retreat and general meeting on 23-26 Nov 2016.

The theme chosen for the assembly was “The World’s First Love: Mary Mother of God, Mary Mother of Mercy.”

In his address launching the event, Archbishop John Wong thanked the delegates for their service to the Church and urged them to continue serving the Church.

The prelate presided at the opening Mass, concelebrated with Father Rhobby Mojolou, the retreat master.

The retreat master touched on the topics related to love, mercy and forgiveness in the family and in the community during the two-day retreat.

The participants were also urged to strengthen their prayer life. Time was given for confession, reconciliation and Holy Hour.

The AGM was held on Nov 26.  Participants presented their reports and discussed pertinent matters.

The assembly concluded with a closing Mass presided by Fr Mojolou. – Anita Tunggolou
