LJCCC holds annual new year thanksgiving celebration
KOTA KINABALU – The Light of Jesus Christ Covenant Community held its annual new year thanksgiving celebration at the Sacred Heart Parish Centre here on 1 January 2017.
The aim of the celebration was to thank God for all the blessings and protection received by the 200-strong members and their families during the past year and to pray that God will continue to protect and bless them with peace, love, joy, good health and prosperity in the new year.
The event started with praise and worship followed by a pot-luck dinner. The food was tasty and cooked in a variety of styles. The tables were beautifully decorated. There were also a few games organised.
The invited guests included Archbishop John Wong, Archbishop Emeritus John Lee, the assistant pastors Fathers Rhobby Mojolou, Mitchelly Kiun and Max Hontor, as well as the Franciscan and Pauline Sisters.
