KK Christmas Celebration ends with singing of “Halleluyah”
KOTA KINABALU – The four-day Kota Kinabalu Christmas Celebration ended on a grand note with everyone singing “Halleluyah” on 16 Dec 2016.
Father Thomas Yip, chairman of the organising committee, thanked everyone who collaborated to make the event a memorable one.
In his turn, YB Datuk Edward Yong Oui Fah, minister in the Chief Minister’s Dept, highlighted the support given by the state government to the yearly event.
After the speeches, donations collected during the day were presented to 10 welfare organisations including the kindergarten run by the Franciscan Sisters in Paitan. Goodie bags were distributed to selected children.
Archbishop John Wong led the closing prayer after everyone sang the final song Halleluyah to express thanks to God for blessing the event with fine weather throughout the four days.
