PENAMPANG – St Michael parish hosted this year’s Carols by Candlelight (CBC) on 5 Dec 2015, which was organised by the youth ministry. It is a tradition held annually by St Michael, in fact by all parishes, to mark the start of house to house caroling.

The CBC was participated by carollers from the parish itself, Assumption of Our Lady Church Sugud, St Augustine Kinarut, St Marcellinus Minintod, St Theresa Child of Jesus Kolopis, Mary Immaculate Conception Sukang Mabpai, St Aloysius Limbanak, St Patrick Buayan and also the Monfort Boys.

Parish priest, Fr Fundes Motiung started with a short catechesis, reminding them the meaning of carolling, that is to spread the joy of the good news that Jesus Christ is born; and he encouraged them to do so throughout the duration of the carolling.

He then announced that St Marcellinus Minintod will host the next Carols by Candlelight in 2016. Shirley Maurice & Deqna Mosinoh
