SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL, KOTA KINABALU – The first Sacred Heart Church was built in 1938 but was destroyed during WWII. It was rebuilt in 1949 and recognized as a Cathedral in 1976, dedicated in 1981 by Bishop Simon Fung with Cardinal Jaime Sin present from Manila. Today, it serves as the seat of Archbishop John Wong. ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH, PENAMPANG – The Stone Church in Sabah, was completed a few years after WWII, in 1947. Now it is a parish for more than 10,000 baptized Catholics.

HOLY ROSARY CHURCH, LIMBAHAU – The first missionaries arrived in Limbahau in 1883 developing the Catholic faith in the area. The Holy Rosary Church, blessed in 1980, became the heart of the parish for about 22,000 baptized Catholics now

ST PETER’S CHURCH, KUDAT – Kudat received the Good News starting in 1920 and made 207 baptisms 10 years later. Now St Peter’s Church is a parish for more than 5,000 faithful
