Catholic Nurses Guild brings Christmas cheers to others

KOTA KINABALU – The Catholic Nurses Guild (CNG) Malaysia Kota Kinabalu Group, led by its chairperson Matron Agnes Moniu, brought Christmas cheers to families of CNG members, as well as to the patients, during their annual Advent carolling.

Twenty-five carollers from UMS Nursing students, Aseana’s College Nursing students together with trained nurses from QEH, QEH2 and Jesselton Medical Centre spent seven days visiting the CNG families.

They visited eighteen houses from 8-15 Dec 2016.   They joined other carolling groups in the street carolling on Dec 16 at the Kota Kinabalu (Gaya) Christmas Celebration at Padang Merdeka.

The CNGKK group will celebrate their annual CNG Family Christmas Celebration on 2 Jan 2017 for the families of members.

Advent visit from ward to ward was a joint carolling organised by CNGKK with Christian staff from QEH2 and KPJ Sabah Specialist Centre to the hospital wards Dec 14-15 beginning each evening at 5:00 pm. The visits covered  QEH2 and KPJ. A total of 60 staff from all categories took part in this carolling. Santa Claus and Santa Rina gave away gifts to all the patients in the wards.

The hospital level-Christmas celebration was held on Dec 21 at QEH2 auditorium. – CNGKK
