KOTA KINABALU – The dream of having a centre of its own finally came true for the Light of Jesus  Christ Covenant Community (LJCCC).  The centre at Jalan Keramat was blessed by Archbishop John Wong on 31 March 2016.  It was graced by Abp Emeritus John Lee and Fr Jeffri Gumu and witnessed by around 70 members.

The half acre land was sold to the LJCCC by Hap Sing Group for RM350,000.00 in 2011 with funds contributed by over 300 active and associate members (English, Chinese, BM units) themselves.  It is under the Registered Trustee of the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu.  The renovation began in 2015 and completed in December 2015.  The single storey building consists of an office, a prayer room, a meeting room and a kitchen.  However, the general gatherings and formation sessions are still conducted at the Sacred Heart Parish Centre Karamunsing.

The LJCCC was formally established on 31 July 1983 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish with Joseph Chee as the presiding elder.  The current presiding elder is Anthony Lim.
