Over a hundred young men register for annual vocation seminar

BUNDU TUHAN – The annual arch/diocesan Vocation Seminar for diocesan priesthood was held in Bundu Tuhan Retreat Centre, Ranau on 15-17 Jan 2016. One hundred and six young men from the three arch/dioceses registered for the seminar; 51 from Kota Kinabalu Archdiocese, 37  from Keningau Diocese and 18  from Sandakan Diocese.

Archbishop John Wong, who presided at the opening Mass, encouraged the participants to have an open heart, to listen attentively to God’s voice and to seriously participate in the seminar, so as to gain courage to say a firm ‘YES’ to Him.

Indeed, the participants did reflect throughout the three days, as seen in the serious expressions on their faces.

Fr Wilfred Atin presided at the closing Mass, and at the end of it, he announced the names of the twelve who were chosen to begin their two-year English Course at the Catholic Archdiocesan Centre  in Penampang: six  from KK Archdiocese, four from Keningau Diocese and two from Sandakan Diocese. –Bede Morti Lamutan
