Tg Aru Parish bids farewell to Fr Aloysius

TANJUNG ARU – “You are never alone!” as a comforting thought, was especially dedicated to Fr Aloysius Fidelis (Fr Aloy as he is fondly known) during a thanksgiving dinner organised for him by the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Council at the Stella Maris Parish Hall here on 21 Nov 2015 prior to his transfer to Holy Family Residence Purak Papar on Dec 1.

Fr Aloy wanted just a small thanksgiving and not a farewell because he said he would be only “next door.”

Fr Aloy served in Stella Maris for a year and two months.  The parishioners were just getting used to him and enjoying his “singing” Mass when he was called to transfer.  As an obedient servant of God he continues his journey, but he is never alone as he has indeed won the hearts of Stella Maris parishioners.

The dinner would not be complete without Fr Aloy singing a song or two.  He obliged and did a duet with Angela Lee with a song Falling in Love with You and a solo entitled One Day at a Time.
