This was followed by the normal parish Holy Hour Apr 24 led by Sr Laura Anggie, Aspirant Formator 2018-2024 who holds a master’s degree in Sacred Scripture.  After the Holy Hour she shared her vocation story and challenged the young people present to look into themselves and see where God is calling them to serve.

The third event was another two-day talk on digital communication: Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking in the Social Media Age and Social Media Impact on Relationship & Digital Well-Being Apr 25-26 by Sr Purificacion Barrientos, Provincial Superior of the Daughters of St Paul Philippines-Malaysia-Thailand Province.  She has a master’s degree in Journalism and has served as associate editor of the CBCP Monitor.

The highlight of the week was the Thanksgiving Mass presided by Abp Julian Leow and concelebrated with Fr Leonard Lexson, parish priest of Assumption Church, on Apr 27, Divine Mercy Sunday.  A simple reception was held at the parish hall after Mass.

The Sisters would like to thank the parish priest and the Assumption Parish Committee for enabling them and the Pauline Cooperators to celebrate their jubilee with the faithful – benefactors, collaborators, friends and well-wishers –  at the parish level.  May the Lord bless you all abundantly.

Upcoming event will be a fundraising dinner at the Kelab Golf Negara Subang Petaling Jaya on July 12 in aid of the convent renovation and repairs.  Other fundraisers include ongoing T-shirts sales and a coffee morning on July 6 at the Assumption Parish.  The Sisters hope the faithful will continue to support these events.  May the Lord bless you all abundantly. – Sr Anna Yap fsp
