Archbishop John Wong: No more live streaming Masses

KOTA KINABALU – KK prelate Archbishop John Wong released a communique dated 12 May 2022, informing the clergy, religious and laity of the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu that with effect from May 22, there would be no more live streaming of Masses in parishes.

Giving the reason for the decision that the government has relaxed SOP for places of worship in view of the nation entering into the endemic phase of the COVID-19, he underlined that all must return to attend Mass physically as in the pre-COVID time.

He also confirmed that the latest SOP has allowed full capacity for our churches and chapels. However, he advised that the use of face mask continues to be a requirement.

He prayed that with the return to physical Mass attendance, a greater communion and fellowship would be fostered in our communities. – Agnes Chai
