90 children receive first holy communion in Labuan

LABUAN – Ninty children from the English and Bahasa Malaysia Masses of the Blessed Sacrament Church received their first Holy Communion during the weekend Masses presided by Msgr Primus Jouil Nov 15-16.

Msgr Primus is the new rector of Stella Maris Church, Tanjung Aru, at the same time covering the parish of Blessed Sacrament, Labuan.  Effective October 2014, he replaces Fr Fundes Motiung who has been transferred to the parish of St Michael’s Church Penampang.

Together with him are Fr Tony Mojiwat and Fr Aloysius Fidelis. There being no permanent resident priests in Labuan, the priests would take turn each week to preside over the Eucharistic celebrations in Labuan, or as sacramental needs arise. – Gelias
