Fifty-three years ago the Daughters of St Paul were invited to Sabah to promote evangelisation through
their media apostolate and Pauline spirituality. Their presence was an added blessing to the local Church in spite of the fact that there was a period they had to leave due to immigration policies.
Twenty-five years after their refoundation, though their number remains small, they have contributed to the strengthening of the faith of our local faithful through their apostolate. At the same time, with local Sisters now taking charge, their presence should be more permanent.
I wish to congratulate the Sisters for reaching the 25th milestone of their service in this land, and thank them for their continuous contribution to the life of the local Church. It is my hope that with the advancement in media technology, they could help our locals to use such technology in spreading the Love and Mercy of God in this part of the world.
A Blessed Silver Jubilee of your presence in Sabah!
