The Korean religious institute Societas Clericalis Sanctissimae Trinitastis de Mirinae (Clerical Society of the Most Holy Trinity) of Mirinae South Korea was founded in 1976 by Father Francis Xavier Tjeong.
It is based at the Mirinae (Milky Way) Martyrs Shrine in Suwon Diocese.
Its charism is to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world, education, hospital ministry and taking care of needy children.
In Sabah, the institute runs Woori Jib (Our Home) St Francis Xavier, a home for children aged 7-17 years at Jalan Potuki since 2016 under Father Leo Choi Sangki, Father Lawrence Kim Jinsu and Father Andrew Kim Youngjung.
The home, fully funded by the institute, was the brainchild of Fr Leo Choi Sangki, who saw the need to build a home for needy children in the state after serving the Korean community here in the last ten years or so. He is the spiritual director, project consultant, and architect of Woori Jib Sabah projects.
The home is named after St Francis Xavier, the patron of the missions, and Father Francis Xavier Tjeong the founder.
Currently, the institute has two young Sabahans in initial formation in Mirinae South Korea.
