The Catholic Family Life Counselling Service was set up in 2012 at G4, Sacred Heart Parish Centre, Jalan Menteri, Kota Kinabalu. It offers individual, group, marriage and family counselling, career guidance, psycho-education (training or talks). The centre is managed by trained professionals headed by Puan Daria Joseph. Guidance
– Is preventive and developmental
– May be done by any guidance workers
– May be given in any normal set up
Counselling
– Is curative or therapeutic, developmental and remedial
– Requires a high level skill as well as special professional training
