HNPT Celebrates its 13th Anniversary

PENAMPANG – Holy Nativity Parish Terawi kicked off 2024 with its 13th Anniversary cum Fundraising Dinner at St Joseph Hall Terawi on the 14th January. It was jointly organised by HNPT Finance and Property Council, CWL along with TPBP (Team Pelayanan Belia Paroki). The event was blessed with the presence of His Grace Archbishop Datuk John Wong, Fr Michael Modoit,the parish rector, Fr Jack Johimi, Asst. rector, seminarian Jeremaiah and parishioners of the four churches under the Parish i.e Holy Nativity Church Terawi, St. Simon’s Church, Duvanson, St. Peter’s Church, Tombovo and Our Lady of Fatima’s Church, Talang Taun.

In his brief but meaningful address, His Grace thanked HNPT for inviting him to the historical event, celebrating the 13th Anniversary of HNPT. He congratulated parishioners for willing to come to the dinner even though it costs a little to some, but the most important matter was to attend together as one big Christ-centred family.

He voiced his happiness of seeing HNPT becoming a conducive place of worship, equipped with a decent hall, a Catechetical building and also a chapel.

The highlights of the evening were the lucky draws, the counting of papaya seeds and presentation of beautiful voices by four gifted Sabahan artists namely Rhowell Rolland Pagie (St John, Parish Tuaran), Lenny James (St. Augustine, Parish Kinarut) and HNPT very own Eiffel Paul Pailus and Eugene Terrie Lojitan.

His Grace concluded his speech to all by asking everyone to ,”Be like John the Baptist, bring people to Jesus”. – by Clarissa HNPT
