Religious vocation awareness camp draws 115 participants

PAPAR – The annual religious vocation awareness camp organised by the Archdiocesan Vocation Promotion Team at the Pace Bene Formation Centre here on 10-12 Feb 2017 drew 115 participants.

The participants came from Kota Kinabalu Archdiocese and Keningau Diocese.

Themed Come and See, the participants learnt about what a religious vocation is, enhanced by the sharings from members of the different institutes serving in Malaysia such as the Brothers of St Gabriel (SG), La Salle Brothers (FSC), Marist Brothers (FMS), Capuchin Franciscan Friars (OFMCap), Franciscan Friars (OFM),  Daughters of St Paul (FSP), Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (FSIC) and the Good Shepherd Sisters (RGS).  A video clip on the life of the Carmelite nuns (OCD) was also shown.

The participants were also taught how to make a vocation discernment.

Time was given for spiritual guidance and counselling before the event closed on Feb 12.
